Hello, I'm Hazel 👋
Want to know something fun about me?

Yes, I love stories.
🎭 It started with acting.

- Played the role of Romaine Patterson in "The Laramie Project".
- Played the role of Liza in "Eternity on Their Mind".

- Played the role of the woman in "Revenge".

- Model for cosmetics advertisement for Moonshot (YG Entertainment).
I acted in Korea for seven years. Mostly on theatre stages, sometimes on screen.
Being someone on stage is hard. You have to design yourself like the character - not just the appearance, but how they move, cry, get angry, and hope.
It taught me to be intentional - just like in design!
Every line, every movement has a purpose. Without it, the audience gets confused or bored.
That’s not so different from how users feel when a product lacks clarity or care.
🧠 Then I moved into therapy.

- A photo taken with colleagues and children.

- Drawings and toys that the children played with.

- License for child psychology from Korea institute on promotion of private certification.
One of my closest friends once said to me, with tears in her eyes:
“If just one person had truly understood me back then…”
She meant when she was young, and those words stayed with me.
I wanted to be that person for children.
So I sat with them, on hospital floors, in counselling rooms - listening to their stories, not just with my ears, but with my whole attention.
It taught me the real power of empathy.
Of noticing the quiet things.
Of understanding without rushing.
🧵 And now… Product Design!
I design experiences with the same intention I brought to the stage.
I ask questions. I stay curious. I think about how something feels, not just how it looks.
And I genuinely care if it helps someone.
Empathy has always been my strength, and now, it's my superpower in design.

As I shared my thoughts and processes,
I also learned a lot about the business mindset. How ideas evolve, how timing matters, and how a product finally reaches the audience.
It gave me a broader view!
Design isn’t just about the screens we build, but the people, goals, and timing behind them.
